Head of Sales - IT Solutions (SAAS)
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Sales to lead our sales team and scale our revenue for IT solutions, including domains, web hosting packages, sales automation software, and other SAAS products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting a sales strategy and building out a team of sales professionals to target both new and existing markets. This role demands someone who is passionate about selling SAAS products, strategizing next steps, negotiating complex deals, and beating the competition in head-to-head opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to penetrate key markets for IT solutions, including domain registration, web hosting, and sales automation software.
- Define the approach for the overall sale of new business, as well as account retention and growth.
- Develop a comprehensive sales and distribution strategy to maximize sales opportunities across all IT solution offerings.
- Develop sales and distribution policies that align with the company’s goals and the IT solutions market.
- Direct the sales team in generating proposals that define a clear path to client satisfaction and revenue growth for SAAS products.
- Establish customer relationship management (CRM) systems and guidelines to manage and nurture customer relationships effectively.
- Own all plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals within the IT solutions sector.
- Assist in the development of the sales plan, including preparing forecasts, KPI reporting, and tracking performance for organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting, and strategic planning.
- Build and implement processes for "land and expand" strategies, including manual top-down outreach, onboarding, activation, and expansion for SAAS products.
- Evangelize our products and directly assist in closing the largest deals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment and successful execution.
- Establish and define the inbound lead requirements needed to meet your sales objectives.
- Provide clear visibility into the sales pipeline at every stage of development to ensure transparency and alignment across the organization.
- Build and foster strong partnerships with key customers, both externally and internally.
- Proven work experience in sales, including leading a sales team and consistently exceeding sales quotas.
- Strong background in SAAS sales, including experience with IT solutions such as domains, web hosting, and sales automation software.
- Extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices, with the ability to coach and mentor others on these practices.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, drive recommendations, and take actionable steps.
- Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams to success.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues effectively in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on achieving both individual and team success.
